How the maths works
- Reducing balance: standard amortisation — instalment = P·i / (1 − (1+i)−n), where i is the monthly rate and n the number of months.
- Flat rate: interest charged on the full amount financed for the whole term, then spread evenly across instalments.
- Fuel: monthly km ÷ km per litre × fuel price.
